About Shaina Kai Khalid

Shaina Khalid is a South Louisiana native who found community in the Colorado birth work realm in 2019. Determined to create a difference in the community that surrounds her, Shaina chose to devote time to continuing her education in birth and postpartum work. Since 2019 Shaina has taken multiple DONA doula workshops, Birth and Certified Lactation Educator (CLE) workshops, CPR trainings, and is a Certified Professional Doula (CPD). Shaina has an inescapable aspiration of learning how to better support and advocate for birthing people throughout their entire birth journey and into fourth trimester (postpartum period). She’s travelled to the Middle East to learn healing modalities under Qablas (traditional moroccan midwives), such as closing of the bones, Moroccan womb cupping, and yoni steaming techniques.

More about
the Magnolia Doula

While Shaina loves being in the birthing space, she sees postpartum as sacred a time to be nourished, held, and restored. Her care is rooted in holistic, culturally informed support, with a deep connection to her Louisiana Creole heritage that shows up in every warm gesture, every slow-cooked meal, and every intuitive moment.

Shaina specializes in care for bipoc and LGBTQ2+ individuals, and no one will ever be turned away based on race, sexuality, or financial need. Sliding scale and payment plans always available.
